I always thought the Guardian Weekend magazine Q&A had an interesting and remarkably insightful format so I have decided to shamelessly adopt it.

Zimbabwe but I live in London now.

The smell of the first African rains and the smell of roast lamb.

What is the trait that you most deplore in yourself?
Impatience and an ability to provide a single answer to these questions.

Robert Mugabe. Dubaya runs a close second.

Who and what is the love of your life?
Who? My wife. What? Food, books, photography, wildlife, technology.

On Fridays, the karaoke night at the local public house.
